Safeguarding
In St James Primary School the safety of our pupils is of paramount importance to us. All staff receive regular 'Safeguarding Training' by the Local Authorities Safeguarding Officers and receive update training as and when required. Furthermore, several members of staff receive a higher level of training on key Safeguarding issues.
We are very fortunate in our school to have two Governors that work in Safeguarding and are always on hand to provide support and guidance, as well as ensure that the school's procedures are robust and appropriate.
If anyone has any concerns about children in our school, they should either raise these with a member of staff (who will pass it on to the school's Designated Safeguarding Officer - Mrs. Claire Price ) or contact Children's Services themselves on (0808) 100 1727. If anyone has concerns about any young person, they can also contact this number for further advice and guidance on what to do.
