At St James Primary School, we are working hard to improve punctuality and ensure every child has the best opportunity to succeed. This year, children have already lost 112 days of learning due to lateness.

Missing just 30 minutes each morning can have a significant impact on a child's education, as it means missing important learning, routines and social opportunities at the start of the day.

If you need any support with attendance or getting your child to school on time, please pop in and speak to Jo, our Family Liaison Officer, who will be happy to help.

 We must improve attendance at school and will be making contact shortly if your child’s attendance last year was a cause for concern.   Please make every effort to ensure your child is in school every day.   Everyday your child is absent from school affects their ability to learn and make progress.
