The release of 'Pancake' our rescued Hedgehog
A very poorly hedgehog with bite marks on his back was found by some of our older pupils on the 11th June 2025. Caerphilly Hedgehog Rescue were called and they arrived very swiftly and took 'Pancake' into their care.
After some fantastic treatment by this amazing organisation Pancake had gained 205g of weight and been treated for lungworm and a breathing problem that had made him very sniffly.
He was then released back onto the school grounds on 26th June and we provided him with a lovely wooden waterproof Box.
I am currently feeding him every night just until he gets settled in properly. We hope Pancake does really well and reunites with all the other Hedgehogs in the Area
