General information

PE days are Monday (indoors) and Thursday (outside).  Please would you ensure that your child wears their PE kit to school on those days. Your child can wear joggers/leggings on these days with a school jumper. Trainers too please. Please remember no jewellery.  Thank you.

This term our topic is...

Cymraeg Celts and Rotten Romans... This term we will learn about how Celts lived, celtic warriors, foods they ate, clothes they wore and how they resisted the Roman invasion! We will learn how and why the Romans invaded Wales and Why they were so successful. We look deeply into the Roman army and why they were so successful. Our trip is to Roman Caerleon, which was known as Isca and was a Roman Fortress. Here, we will take place in a Workshop and learn about the Roman army.  This is the term for our school Eisteddfod and we will take part in many competitions. We will celebrate St.David's Day too.

Home Learning:

We have a variety of different apps and websites that we will use for home learning. These websites include: 

SeeSaw - you will find the link for AR (Accelerated Reading) where your child can take a quick quiz on the book they have read.

Reading eggs - you will find a range of spelling and reading activities on your child's personal account weekly. 

Maths seeds -you will find a range of maths activities to complete weekly.

PurpleMash - you will find a range of exciting activities. 

RWI- your child will have an individual account to the books they are reading everyday in class. 

HWB- your child has an individual account for HWB, please help them to practice typing their email address. On here they can access a range of tools e.g. Britannia, JIT2e, Adobe Express and lots more.  We have been using these in class. We love it!

Please spend 20 minutes per night on completing an activity on the above websites.  It will really help your child develop and succeed, not only in school but in later life.  All your child's logins can be found on their individual passport. One was sent home at the beginning of September for home.  Please ask if you need another copy.
