Remember the video "While We Can't Hug" from last Monday's (8th June) lesson? Today's task focusses on the original book "The Hug," which tells the story of how Hedgehog and Tortoise became best friends in the first place!
This delightful book is by Eoin McLaughlin and Polly Dunbar.
Listen to the story here:
Now I want you to think about the reason WHY they became friends. Why were they perfect for each other? Can you imagine another pair of animals who could be friends?
Your task is to write and illustrate a comic strip/story board for a young child about two different animals who became best friends.
You can use one of the templates I've attached or draw your own.
I found these real life friendships to inspire you:
*Bubbles the elephant & Bella the dog
*Bea the giraffe and Wilma the Ostrich
*Tinni the dog and Sniffer the fox
*Torque the dog and Shrek the owl
*Fred the dog and Dennis the duckling
Mabel the chicken and the puppies
Milo the dog and Bonedigger the lion
*Shere Khan the tiger, Baloo the bear and Leo the lion
*Mani the wild boar and Candy the dog
*Suryia the orang-utan and Roscoe the hound
