Are you ready for our learning adventure today? You are all doing so well
Literacy -
Today's literacy work will be as a "2Do" job on purplemash again. Log onto the site at: https://www.purplemash.com/stjamescf83, put in your username and password and click on the "2Do" section. If you post the work I can look at what you have done and write back to you! Can't wait to see what you do! Hope you have fun!
Your jobs will be one of the following:
- create your own comic book, take your picture and insert it into the superhero's face. Next you can drag WOW words onto your picture, lastly write some words that you would say as a superhero in the speech bubble.
- As a superhero you would feel lot's of different feelings. Can you draw the 4 emotions?
- If you have no set task today I would like you to go onto the mini mash site, go to the outside area, click on the music, go to 2explore, then go to various. Ask the children to click on the instruments of their choice to make a musical pattern. Listen to it back!
(I cannot set a task in mini mash, so I just have to write it on here. However you can save it to your child's folder and I can see their tune.....cant wait )

Potato Pattern Prints
Create superhero-like art by printing with your potatoes!
Use different colours to make patterns. You might want to assemble other veggies and use them to print with!
Talking Together
Grown ups please help your child to cut potatoes in half. (Remember you can use up the sprouty ones for this!)
If you can, pick potatoes of different sizes so you can talk about large and small designs.
If using other veg talk about what size and shape you think that might make e.g. a carrot, a circle –a big circle at the top and a little one if we use the bottom.
Find some colours of paint and some paper to print on. Get printing, talking about position, printing in groups, use of colour, shape and how much space. between your prints
Sensory/ fine or gross motor skills
Pouring, scooping, splashing and bubbles! Water Play is an exciting sensory play activity, where children become absorbed with the ripples of the water – try out a variety of water play games.
