This week the Head Teacher (Mr Emmanuel) and a teacher (Mr Sarkar) from our partner school in India visited our school.
This was their visit to the UK (and Europe) and they've had a fantastic time. It's been an 'eye-opening' experience for them and they've learnt lots about schools and education in Wales.
Although our visitors didn't get a chance to meet all of the children and spend time in all of the classes, the children have loved meeting them, spending time with them, telling them al about life in Wales & Welsh Schools and also finding out about life in India and Indian schools.
On Tuesday they joined some children on a trip to the 'Big Pitt' which they found particularly interesting as their school (Assembly of God Church School) sits on the biggest coalfields in India.
On Wednesday they visited Caerphilly Castle and then spent some time in school watching some lessons and answer lots of questions about what life is like in India.
On Thursday they spent the morning in school watching more lessons and doing some work with the children. Mr Sarkar even taught a maths lesson to a group of children which the children loved! In the afternoon they visited St Fagans to see what life in Wales was like through the various ages.
This morning (Friday) we waved farewell to them as they move on to visiting other parts of Wales and the UK.
We look forward to them visiting our school again sometime and to the exciting work that we're going to be doing with them over the coming months.
Keep checking back to this page of our website for updates on the work that we're doing with them.
