Literacy -

This week most of our literacy work will be as a "2Do" job on purplemash. Log onto the site at:, put in your username and password and click on  the "2Do" section. Each day you will have a different job. If you post the work I can look at what you have done and write back to you! Can't wait to see what you do! smiley Hope you have fun!

Your jobs will be one of the following:

- typing CVC words

- overwriting letters of the alphabet and drawing a picture of an object starting with that sound

If you cant find a 2Do job for today, that's ok because I would like you to try drawing some shapes (in paint, shaving foam, sand, with a wet brush up in wall...anyway that's fun!) especially the first 4.

Maths -

A trap for the Evil Pea!

In "Supertato" the Evil Pea is up to no good. We must keep him frozen! See if you can make your own trap for him! Have  a look around the house for something you could make a trap for him with!

Talking Together

Use your maths skills to make a trap. Remember he is small so what might you have to make sure he doesn’t escape?

Could you use a box? Remember we just want to trap him so he will need holes to breath!

Do we need to check he is in there? How will we see?

Check in your freezer –do you have any peas in there? What other vegetables need to be frozen to keep them in control? Could you make a list of all your frozen veggies?

How many do you have? Are the bags full or half full?

Sensory/fine or gross motor skills

  • Simply combine salt, flour and water to create beautiful Salt Dough sculptures. Then get those Cutters and Rollers out to perfect your shapes – and add Glitter for an extra sparkle! Finally, pop your creations in the oven and once they are hardened, let you children paint them.

     What do you need?

  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 cup salt
  • 2 cups flour

  • Snipping paper
