Literacy for Parents Learn what the kids are learning!!!!

Funky fitness Summer sessions - Still FREE!!!!!!!!

We are starting a Walking Club every other Friday. It will be the opposite week to the Coffee and Chat sessions. WE will be walking round Caerphilly cleaning our mind and blowing the cobwebs and problems away helping us think clearer and have some peace, it'll also help us get fit. Healthy Mind Healthy body.  You will then be invited back to The Tower Bistro and provided with a FREE posh coffee and cookie. I hope to see you there pre register with Natalie or turn up on the Friday morning after dropping your children off. Please wear trainers and bring a bottle of water with you.

Parents Keep Fit Class. Come along to the school hall for a FREE keep fit class every Thursday morning 9.15-10am. The classes will be a mix of circuits, zumba and kettle bells. Rachel the fitness instructor is very flexable and will adapt the classes to suit what the parents want for the next week. This class is FREE and all parents are invited. Lets get fit and healthy!!!

Come and support our Tower Bistro, our children will prepare the cakes and teas and coffees (from our NEW professional machine!!) as part of their weekly activities and parents will have the chance to talk the Family Link Officer about ideas, opinions or concerns.

We have a budgeting course every Wednesday 1-3pm.(Summer Term 2016) Learning about: how to balance you incomings and out goings, borrowing and debt management, knowing what is a good deal, getting support if needed.

Martin from Groundworks Caerphilly is here every Tuesday from 1.30-3pm to work on our school grounds. Adults can work with their children on numerous activities including den building, planting, woodwork, building, potting, games and more.

                             High Frequency Word Group Family Learning

 

Family learning is open to Mrs Sadd and Mrs Yeates class this is the new high frequency word group. We will be making progress on what we started last term. This workshop will be working on parents literacy skills as well as the children's literacy skills and then coming together in a joint session giving you a chance to work together parent and child to help your children with their literacy skills as well as improve your own.  Any adult can work with your child - parent, guardian, grandparent, family friend, auntie uncle all are welcome. We are able to run this course every Wednesday morning for the whole of the Summer term 2016. We hope to see lots of you. Natalie

HUGE thank you to the lovely mums that helped make resources for year 2 yesterday afternoon and this morning. Because of these mums year 2 now have High Frequency Games made and ready to be borrowed from school to support your child at home and help improve their High Frequency Words - spelling and reading. BIG BIG THANK YOU!!
