At St James, we believe that as much learning can take place outside of the class room as inside! This is why we invested in our minibuses and are raising money for another accessible one.
Every class builds activities outside of the class room into their curriculum, but some children, who we feel would particularly benefit are specifically targeted for 'enriched curriculum' activities. These activities can improve their attendance and increase their engagement with school.
Over the years, enriched curriculum activities have included street dance, karate, abseiling, keep fit, cycling, camping, hiking, beach visits and hair & nails.
This year, Caernarfon and Cyfarthfa children have enjoyed Samba Drumming workshops and Chepstow and Brecon have enjoyed African Drumming workshops! Caerdydd and Raglan have improved their fitness levels with weekly visits to Creazione Fitness Centre.
